The Artist...
Karen Edgar is a contemporary artist whose one of a kind, hand rubbed charcoal and pastel paintings are created using an exclusive technique developed by the artist. Karen's rare perspective provokes vivid and emotional responses to her paintings, with images of life as we know it and views into the world around us.
"I look for subjects that I viscerally connect with and which offer a commonality of emotion and insight to all who see my work. The ability to have the viewer impacted in the same way that I have been, connects me to them. Creating art allows me to express my love and passion for God and all of His creations, and working on each piece is an emotional and spiritual experience for me."
Karen has won numerous awards in local, regional, national and international competitions. She has original art work available and is accepting portrait commissions. She has also published two children's picture books- "My Gramma lives in the Jungle" and "Bigger Than the Purple Sky" through Amazon, and as an e-book through Kindle.
